The wilderness continues to surprise me, even after all these years of wandering its forgotten paths. Today’s discovery has left me questioning everything I thought I knew about the boundaries of our world.

I was making my way through the Far Reaches, following a trail that seemed to lead nowhere in particular, when something caught my eye high in the branches of an ancient maple. Lodged between twisted limbs, as if hurled there by some tremendous force, was an orb roughly the size of my palm. The metal - if metal it truly is - gleamed with an otherworldly sheen that seemed to shift between silver and bronze depending on the angle of light.

What struck me most was how perfectly spherical it was, unmarred by rust or corrosion despite what must have been years embedded in that tree. The surface was smooth save for subtle ridges that, when traced with my fingers, revealed a pattern of interlocking segments. Through pure curiosity - or perhaps luck - I discovered that twisting the orb in a specific sequence caused it to part slightly, releasing a single drop of translucent liquid.

The substance was unlike anything I’d encountered. It held an almost luminous quality, neither water nor oil, but something altogether strange. Naturally, I collected what little I could and made haste to the Umberglow Artisanal division for analysis.

The results were as unexpected as they were amusing. Lead Artisan Kestril and his team determined that the liquid possessed remarkable properties for accelerating hair growth—all types, from the finest facial hair to the coarsest scalp coverage. We spent considerable time theorizing about its origins, and our best speculation is both wondrous and comical: perhaps this artifact belonged to a race of extraordinarily hirsute beings who developed such an essence to combat the hair loss that might occur when venturing beyond their native atmosphere.

The very thought of visitors from distant worlds, struggling with cosmic baldness, brought unexpected laughter to our usually serious research sessions. Yet beneath the humor lies a profound realization - if this truly came from beyond our world, then we are not alone in the vast expanse of creation.

The artisans have already begun work on replicating the substance using terrestrial ingredients. They’ve dubbed their creation the “L-type Hair Elixir,” named for the potentially long-haired origins of our mysterious visitors. Kestril assures me their earthly version shows promising results in preliminary tests.

I’ve secured the orb in Vault V, alongside the other artifacts whose origins I cannot fully explain. As I sealed it away, I found myself overwhelmed by a familiar sense of displacement—the same feeling that has haunted me since I lost… since I found myself here, in this world that feels both home and foreign.

But tonight, staring up at the stars, I feel a strange comfort knowing that perhaps there are other worlds out there, other wanderers like myself searching for answers among the unknown. The universe suddenly feels both larger and more intimate than I ever imagined.

Tomorrow I continue my search, but with new questions burning in my mind. What other remnants of distant visitors might be scattered across our lands? And somewhere among those countless stars, are there others like me, displaced and seeking their way home?

The orb has given me hope that the boundaries between worlds are not as absolute as I once believed.
